CIRF Learning Event: Reflect, Celebrate, Transition: Sustaining Impact Beyond the Project
The Circular Economy for Food Systems Transition in Rwanda (CIRF) is a four-year initiative (2021–2025) funded by the IKEA Foundation and led by the World Resources Institute (WRI) in partnership with Resonance, the African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA), the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), and the Rwanda Cleaner Production and Climate Innovation Centre (CPCIC). Together, these partners are advancing a resilient, circular, and regenerative food system that improves livelihoods while delivering positive social and environmental outcomes across Africa.
As the project enters its final phase, a three-day learning event (21 - 23 October 2025 ) will bring together partners, SMEs, policymakers, and other stakeholders to reflect on progress, share lessons, and chart the path forward. The event will also feature a co-creation session on impact measurement, exploring indicators that best capture meaningful change, beyond business growth, to include outcomes such as regenerative agriculture, waste valorization, and social impact.
This gathering marks an important milestone to celebrate achievements, address challenges, and shape the next generation of circular food system programs in Rwanda and beyond.
